100 things about rusvw… (updated 8/22/11)
1. I was born in 1965 the fifth of five children, right here in good ol’ bawl’more.
2. I am a Pisces through and through.
3. Not only does my birthday fall dead center in Piscesville, but I am dead lefty, I am extremely emotional and sensitive to all things with a heartbeat (and I can be convinced to get attached to inanimates like pet rocks), and my strengths are in all things arts-related.
4. Both of my parents are dead, which, at the age of 46, leaves me with a lot to think about sometimes.
5. I’ve been camping since I was 6 months old. I stopped when I got married and things got a little busy in my life.
6. I have three children, ages 15, 9, and 7. Each is uniquely imaginative and beautiful in his (age 7) or her (ages 9 and 15) own right.
7. I teach high school English, writing, publications/design, and photography in Howard County.
8. I also teach undergraduate and graduate courses at Towson University in writing and education.
9. Sometimes, the two worlds collide, and I am able to see clearly the continuum of learning between the two.
10. I am entering my 25th year of teaching.
11. I have been writing stories since I was a “Delaney Devil” in elementary school.
12. Delaney’s Devils were Jack Delaney’s students at Pine Grove Elementary School in Parkville, MD. Jack was a brilliant, gifted individual who died in May 1989.

Rus, I didn’t know that you knew Jack Delaney. He was a professional colleague of mine! He truly was a very gifted and talented man.
Rus, You should keep camping! Even with a wife and family? It makes it more memorable with family. My son and I often go camping, he is 3 and talks about it for months afterwards.
Rus – Are you Rusty who used to live on Littlewood Road? I lived up the street on Dunwoody. Jack Delaney passed away? Really? Sad news. Despite many years later.
